Commitment Watch: Projection for 2023 TE Markus Dixon

2023 TE target Markus Dixon is set to announce a commitment on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound prospect out of Pennsylvania was one of the many players to take official visits to Clemson the first weekend in June. Dixon actually publicly announced his offer from the Tigers during that visit. He has two dozen in all, with schools like Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas A&M all having offered. There was some talk about maybe an official visit to Oregon taking place next weekend, but that's not going to happen.

Clemson just picked up a commitment from TE Olsen Patt Henry last week, but the plan is to sign two in this class. Dixon and Henry were the only two tight ends the Tigers brought in on officials that first weekend in June, and it looks like new tight ends coach Kyle Richardson will land both. Not a bad way to rebound after the decommitment of Reid Mikeska last month.

Projection (3-3 2023, 13-14 all-time): Clemson

I think Dixon and Henry are solid options and actually fit better than Mikeska. Thoughts?
I like both guys better than Mikeska. Neither play quite as "physical" as Mikeska does right now, but I think both have higher ceilings as pass catchers in the Clemson offense.
