Andrew Paul Update

While nothing is confirmed, it's sounding like Andrew Paul is visiting Athens this weekend.

It was thought that Notre Dame or Oregon would get this final visit but Georgia jumped in this week, offering last Sunday. Bulldogs coaches were in Dallas on Thursday visiting the running back. Dabo Swinney had his in home earlier in the week.

Still think Clemson is in good shape here. They've been building a relationship with Paul since late last year. Georgia really just started cultivating that relationship this week.

Having said all that, it is still Georgia we are talking about, one of the few programs capable of pulling off that kind of feat.

Paul will announce a decision on signing day at noon.

Could be. But anytime a RB visits Georgia I'm concerned. Is he really deciding which schools to go to based on distance? Stranger things have happened, but I dunno...

Not exactly what I was trying to say. If he feels good about Clemson, but wants to make another official to affirm his confidence is well placed and wants to leave as few stones unturned as possible, he might make the decision on where to visit on his last weekend before Signing Day based on distance. Or climate, you know, South Bend in February might not be as appealing. I was just speculating.

Is Athens that much closer than ND? Either trip is probably a full day driving. 12 or 13 hours and maybe an hour difference or so. Not too different if flying.
