Clemson Commit Keon Sabb Visiting Michigan

The 2022 Clemson commit will be on hand for Michigan and Ohio State today. While he does have some family up that way and a friend that plays for Michigan, the Wolverines were one of his five finalists. A lot of chatter surrounding Sabb and this sudden appearance in Ann Arbor. Add in the sudden, recent addition of Wade Woodaz to the current class, and we might be on the verge of a decommitment here.

Sabb committed to Clemson back in June and is one of six defensive backs currently committed as part of the 2022 class. All six are blue-chip guys, giving the Tigers arguably the best secondary group in the country for this cycle.

It's so weird that this chatter has gone from 0 to infinity without him even taking an unofficial or official visit on this trip as best I can tell. Right?

It is not an official visit. But he is there, that makes it an unofficial one in my book. And from what I am told he has been telling each staff different things.

After talking to a couple of sources, this is something that has been building behind the scenes for weeks. The Michigan coaching staff has stayed on Sabb even after his commitment to Clemson, pitching to him that he can play a vital role in the new direction the Wolverines are committed to taking on the defensive side of the ball. Defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald has really played up the idea of Sabb lining up all over the field, similar to how the Clemson coaching staff envisions using him.

Much of this was thought to be rumors, but the fact that he has shown up in Ann Arbor could be proof of there being some fire to go along with the smoke.
